Since overcoming his suspicion and shame of the German language, TCHAIR has been presenting himself and others with semi-experimental pop rock songs – like musical stumbling blocks. But not to trip you up, rather to fool you.
On his current “Am richtigen Ort” tour, TCHAIR has expanded into a duo. This results in funny and thoughtful songs performed live with electric guitar, various keys and atmospheric sounds – about growing up violently in the suburbs (“Beste Freunde”), about hope (“Diesen Sommer”) and, of course, about love at all times.
The beginning moves between gentle melancholy and poetic depth, with a subtle wink here and there. The band’s singer will be on stage solo this evening – with only her acoustic guitar, her warm voice and German-language songs, somewhere between indie pop and chanson.
Doors open at 8 p.m., start at 9 p.m.
Admission: £8–£15
