Concerts, readings, film evenings, lectures, panel discussions and workshops that attract people from all over the city and the surrounding area – the variety of events characterises Lokomov’s cultural programme. Within the association’s network, Lokomov is a catalyst and meeting point for the organisation of new projects and initiatives, which initiates cooperation with other actors on the Sonnenberg and in other parts of the city as well as the cultural revitalisation of the neighbourhood.
Lokomov sees itself as a cultural space and open meeting place in the neighbourhood. With social events such as the monthly cake platter (cake and vinyl), games afternoons, karaoke evenings and themed events or the open bar plenum, it facilitates socio-cultural exchange and, with its continuously growing and participatory organisation, forms a social hub
The Barplenum is at the same time a public interface between different disciplines, a meeting point for nightlife and a place for social mixing and encounters.
